How To Manage Team Remotely?

In Today's scenario, the need to have a virtual team is very much. With the competitiveness in hiring talented people, it becomes more tempting to hire people in other cities, states, and countries to join your team. 

Adding employees to your team which is working remotely is a challenge for management to overlook them and check their work. There are a few simple points which can help you to manage them from different locations:-

1. Make Clarity Between The Employees: As a Manager, you need to talk to your workers and discuss the projects. Always be transparent, get them involved in all aspects of the business. 

2. Company Vission: Always Share the company vision with your staff. Have Discussions and Group Meeting to achieve the vision. Discuss the challenges come across and try to resolve them. 

3. Meeting or Video Calls: This is one of the most important tasks that you need to do if you want to manage your team remotely. Have a conversation or video calls with your team at least once in a week and try to create a friendly relation with them, 

4. Pay Attention To Time Zone: This is also very important to pay on the time zone. As in not everyone is one the same time zone. For Example, You are in India, and your teammate is in Los Angles, and you are calling him at your 10 am then there might be chances that the other person sitting in Los Angles Frustrated from this Call. So, we always have to keep this thing in mind that the time zone must be comfortable for both. Moreover, Numerous calling also not be effective. 

5. Technology Use: Always use the technology available to you. There are many platforms which can be used for remote meeting like GoToMeeting, Cisco Webex. Skype etc. Always use that technology in which both can be comfortable. 

6. Establish the Close Bonds: Always try to Establish a close bond or friendly bond. Only then you will be able to communicate properly and both of them will be on the same page with the same motive.

7. Appreciate Your Staff: Always appreciate and motivate your staff. While working remotely there might be chances of loneliness and disappointment, so always encourage your employees and motivate them So that they can perform best. 

8. Create Strong Work Culture: It is good that you have a team which is location independent but it is also very important to build a strong work culture too, this can only be achieved by building strong relations with your team and by regular meetings with the help of which you will be able to track the work status and review them and guide them accordingly.
